I cannot send SMS

Checks & Device Troubleshooting

1. Check Account Balance/Status: Log in to your My Yomojo dashboard to ensure your account is active and you have sufficient credit or plan allowance for sending SMS.

2. Check Network Coverage:  Ensure you have cell service in your area. You can check for any local network faults or maintenance on the Yomojo Network Status page

3. Restart phone: A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches.

4. Verify SIM Card Installation: Turn off your phone, remove the SIM card, check that it is properly seated in the tray, and reinsert it.

5. Check network connection: Ensure you have a stable network connection and that airplane mode is off. Are you able to make outgoing calls?

6. Check Recipient Number: Double-check that you are sending the message to the correct number, including the full international dialling code if applicable.

7. Note down the error message and contact our Customer Service team if you're still unable to send SMS after checking these steps.

Advanced Device Settings

1. Verify the SMS Centre Number (SMSC): An incorrect SMSC is a common reason for failed outbound messages.

  • Navigate to your messaging app's settings. The location varies by phone but might be under "Advanced," "More settings," or "Text messages".

  • Find the "SMS Centre" or "Message Centre" number.

  • Make Sure SMSC on your phone is set to: +61411990001.

2. Clear Messaging App Cache/Data: 

  • Go to your phone's Settings > Apps (or Apps & notifications) > Messages (your default SMS app).

  • Tap Storage and then select Clear Cache and Clear Data (note that clearing data might delete draft messages).

3. Enable VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling: If your device supports it, enabling VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling in your phone's settings can help ensure a stronger connection.
